More Than Conquerors

Joshua is the central figure of the book. His original name is Hoshea, son of Nun, which means “salvation”. He was the assistant to Moses and personally mentored by him. He was often hanging around the tabernacle after Moses finished his prayer. He was one of the two spies sent to Jericho who believe they can conquer the land. Moses called him Joshua, which means “Yahweh is Salvation”. This is symbolic because Joshua is the leader of the children of Israel. He led millions of ex-salves into the promise land. He was the great conqueror who achieved amazing victories. But The Lord is the Real Conqueror. Glory to The King!

So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle…
