GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

And when Joseph’s master heard the words of his wife, saying, “This is the way your servant treated me,” his anger burned. So Joseph’s master took him and put him in the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined; so he was there in the prison.(Genesis 39:19-23 AMP)

Today’s devotion is an amazing encouragement to strengthen yourself in the Lord, especially when everything is falling apart. We have already seen how Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and now he is been accused of rape, which he did not commit. It sure looks like it all down hill from here for Joseph. He did not even defend himself against the false accusations by Potiphar’s wife. His master took him and put him into prison. This has a striking resemblance with Jesus when He tried and led to the crucifix.
