O Holy Queen, dispenser of God’s graces and mother of all who invoke your holy name. Do not look upon my gift and fail to see its binding. As you graciously

First Joyful Mystery – The Annunciation
Sweet Mother Mary, meditating on the Mystery of the Annunciation, when the angel Gabriel appeared to you with the news that you were to become the Mother of God. He greeted you with that sublime salutation, “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with thee!” and you did humbly submit yourself to the will of the Father, responding: “Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done unto
me according to thy word”, I humbly pray…

Third Joyful Mystery – The Nativity
Sweet Mother Mary, meditating on the Mystery of the Nativity of Our Lord, when, your time being completed, you brought forth, O holy Virgin, the redeemer of the world in a stable at Bethlehem; whereupon choirs of angels filled the Heavens with their exultant song of praise – “Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace to men of goodwill”, I humbly pray…

Fourth Joyful Mystery – The Presentation
Sweet Mother Mary, meditating on the Mystery of the Presentation, when, in obedience to the Law of Moses, you presented the Child in the temple, where the holy prophet Simeon, taking the Child in his arms, offered thanks to God for allowing him to look upon his Saviour, I humbly pray…

Fifth Joyful Mystery – The Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple
Sweet Mother Mary, meditating on the Mystery of the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple, when, having sought Him for three days, distressed and anxious at His absence, your heart was gladdened when you found Him in the temple speaking to the doctors; and upon your request, He obediently returned home, I humbly pray…

Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, really present in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar, since I cannot now receive you under the Sacramental Veil, I beseech you, with a heart full of love and longing, to come spiritually into my soul through the immaculate heart of Your most Holy Mother, and abide with me forever.

Sweet Mother Mary, I offer you this Spiritual Communion to bind my bouquets in a wreath to place upon your brow. O my Mother! Look with favour upon my gift, and in your love obtain for me (specify request here).

Update on 4/54 day of my water fast

Walked to church today which is around 30 minutes just like the distance of my clinic . I felt slight dizziness this is due to lack of eating and missing salts. Other than that I am perfectly fine. I feel extreme cold at night and sometimes my sleep is disturbed. Praying as usual the Novena for all Saints and Souls in purgatory. Not feeling hungry anymore, lost my interest in food. Productivity wise I am more focused and able to concentrate. Its been a long time since I ate. I have lost 3kg within the 3 days and now on day 4 I need to weigh myself and take the measurements around my waist in inches since its the inches that matter. Trying to drink 3 litres of infused lemon and ginger water daily to battle fatigue and to maintain skin and my vitamin C levels. Been pampering myself with face masks that I made from rice water followed by lavender cream. My skin has always been clear but now its even more clear due to fasting there is a glow to the skin.

Meditation wise still listening to Gregorian chants and sitting on the balcony at night to look at the small movements of trees and birds. Sometimes there is an owl but its very rare.

Today mostly relaxation sort out my hair, nails and skin . Pray more today and write my novel. I intend to go on a 2 hour walk later on really late to get fresh air. Other than this today is perfect and its relaxing. Fasting is not preventing me from my obligatory works as a medical student or as a Catholic.
