The Lives of the Brethren is a collection of stories brought together for publication in 1256. It’s a bit of the Order’s history, but more of a sermon on the correctness of the Dominican Order. These stories were collected by Gerard de Frachet under the supervision of Humbert of Romans, the Master General of the Order of Friars Preachers.
