Lord Jesus, Eternal Word and faithful Bridegroom of the Church, You who said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him” (Genesis 2:18), look kindly upon me and guide my vocation according to the Father’s will. Teach me to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness in all my desires and relationships.​

Heavenly Father, Your word says, “Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord” (Proverbs 19:14), and “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord” (Proverbs 18:22). In Your mercy, grant that the spouse You prepare for me may be prudent, virtuous, and firmly rooted in You. Let him be a man after Your own heart, as David was, quick to repent and eager to praise You.​

Lord, You joined Adam and Eve in a holy covenant, and You taught that “they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate” (Matthew 19:6). Lead me to a man who understands marriage as a sacred covenant, who will love me “as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25). May he be God‑fearing, value‑oriented, honest, hardworking, gentle yet strong, and committed to living Your commandments daily.​

Grant that we may be united in faith and purpose, obeying the call, “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14), and walking together in the light of Christ. May our relationship be marked by prayer, mutual respect, purity, forgiveness, and a deep desire to help each other grow in holiness, like Aquila and Priscilla who served You together.​

Prepare my heart, Lord, to be a wife of noble character, “worth far more than rubies” (Proverbs 31:10). Form in me the virtues of Mary of Nazareth: humility, obedience, purity, courage, and a heart that says each day, “Let it be done to me according to Your word.” Help me to grow in wisdom, patience, and charity, so that I may be a true gift and companion to the man You entrust to me.​

Intercession of saints and angels

St. Raphael the Archangel, who guided Tobias to Sarah and protected their marriage, be my companion and guide as I seek a holy, compatible spouse; obtain for me wisdom, patience, and a discerning heart. St. Joseph, most chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and faithful guardian of the Holy Family, intercede for me that I may be led to a man who reflects your justice, purity, strength, and tender love.​

St. Anne, grandmother of Jesus and patron of those seeking a spouse, pray for me and teach me to wait with faith and trust, as you did. St. Joachim, St. Louis and Zélie Martin, St. Priscilla and St. Aquila, and all holy married couples in heaven, pray that my future marriage, if this is God’s will for me, may mirror the love between Christ and His Church.​

Blessed Virgin Mary, Seat of Wisdom and Mother of Fair Love, wrap my heart and the heart of my future spouse in your mantle of protection. Present this prayer to your Son, that in His time and in His way He may unite us, and make our home a small Nazareth filled with faith, prayer, and charity. Amen.​
