Launcelot loved Gwinevere
And wanted his kingdom to thrive.
He knew if the barbarians
Cut her long Hair she would lose
Her beauty, and the kingdom would fall.
He kept her imprisoned in a tower
Where no one could go near her hair.
Having never accounted
For the fact that if no one
Could see her hair,
It served no purpose,
He never expected the unthinkable.
Her subjects were begrudged
Her loveliness, and the mighty
Kingdom fell anyway.
