Answer: Their prayer life was the common binding factor among them all.

King David and his men were in Ziklag when the Amalekites came and invaded their camp. The enemy took away their wives and children as captives and by the time David and his men returned, they only saw what was left of the rampage.And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel‬ ‭30:6‬
