โœ‹ Did you know that for the first 300 YEARS of Christianityโ€ฆ there was NO CHRISTIAN BIBLE?

Yet the Church grew, converted nations, survived persecutions, and kept the teachings of Jesus alive โ€” WITHOUT depending on a โ€œBible alone.โ€

Why? Because Jesus never said,

โ€œWrite a book!โ€

He said,

โ€œPreachโ€ฆ Teachโ€ฆ Do this in memory of Meโ€ฆ Listen to the Church.โ€

Letโ€™s uncover truths many Christians donโ€™t know (or donโ€™t want to admit):

Many assume apostles wrote the Gospels. But in fact:

Mark was NOT an apostle. He was Peterโ€™s disciple, writing Peterโ€™s preaching.

Luke was NOT an apostle. He was Paulโ€™s companion, writing Paulโ€™s account of Christ.

Now ask yourself:

โ“Who told us Mark and Luke wrote these Gospels?

Not the Bible! ๐Ÿ“–

There is NO verse that says:

โ€œMark wrote this gospel.โ€

โ€œLuke wrote this gospel.โ€

The ONLY reason we know their authorship is because the Catholic Church preserved this information through Sacred Tradition.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Tradition, not the Bible, tells us who wrote the Bible.

Even scholars agree:

No one truly knows who wrote Hebrews.

It could be Paul, Barnabas, Apollos, Luke, Clementโ€ฆ no one is sure.

So why did the early Church include it in the Bible?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Because Sacred Tradition AND the Magisterium accepted it as inspired.

Not because the text declared its own author.

Not because of โ€œBible alone.โ€

But because the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, discerned it.

The Bible Quoted Books That Are NOT in the Bible!

Did you know the New Testament quotes or references books that are NOT included in the canon?

๐Ÿ“Œ Book of Enoch โ€” quoted by Jude

๐Ÿ“Œ Book of Jubilees โ€” alluded to by early Christians

๐Ÿ“Œ Assumption of Moses โ€” quoted by Jude

๐Ÿ“Œ Book of Jashar โ€” quoted in Joshua & 2 Samuel

๐Ÿ“Œ Book of Nathan the Prophet

๐Ÿ“Œ Book of Gad the Seer

๐Ÿ“Œ Book of Samuel the Seer

๐Ÿ“Œ Epistle to the Laodiceans โ€” mentioned by Paul

๐Ÿ“Œ Enochic literature referenced in NT theology

The Bible quotes books that the Bible did not include.

Who decided which books stay and which books do not?

๐Ÿ‘‰ THE CATHOLIC CHURCH โ€” through Tradition and the Magisterium.

The Catholic Church teaches that Godโ€™s revelation comes from three inseparable sources:

โœ… Sacred Scripture (the Bible)

โœ… Sacred Tradition (oral teachings before Scripture existed)

โœ… The Magisterium (teaching authority of the Church)

These THREE form the โ€œThree-Legged Chair of Truth.โ€

Remove one leg โ€” the entire system collapses.

This is why Sola Scriptura (Bible alone) is impossible.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Read this carefully:

๐Ÿ˜ณ If the Bible is the ONLY source of truthโ€ฆ

Then there was NO truth for the first 300 years before the Bible existed.

And that is historically FALSE.

The Church lived the truth, preached the truth, defended the truth, and taught the truth before a single New Testament book was formed.

Truth existed because the Church existed.

And the Church existed because Christ founded it โ€” not because of a book.

Before ANY New Testament book was written:

โœ” Christians were already baptizing

โœ” Celebrating the Eucharist

โœ” Ordaining bishops & priests

โœ” Using the sign of the cross

โœ” Praying liturgically

โœ” Believing in the Real Presence

โœ” Worshiping on Sunday

โœ” Keeping Apostolic teachings orally

Tradition came FIRST.

Scripture came SECOND.

The Magisterium preserved BOTH.

The Bible did NOT create the Church.

The Church created the Bible.

From A.D. 33 to A.D. 325:

๐Ÿ”ฅ No printed Bibles

๐Ÿ”ฅ No canon list

๐Ÿ”ฅ No โ€œBible aloneโ€ theology

๐Ÿ”ฅ No pastors waving personal scriptures

๐Ÿ”ฅ No church had all 27 NT books

And yet

Christianity exploded across the Roman Empire because it was built on Tradition and led by the Magisterium, not bound to a book that did not yet exist.

The final list of inspired books came from:

๐Ÿ“œ Council of Rome (382)

๐Ÿ“œ Council of Hippo (393)

๐Ÿ“œ Council of Carthage (397)

All were Catholic councils, led by bishops, guided by popes.

They declared infallibly:

โœ” which books were inspired

โœ” which books were rejected

โœ” the exact 73-book Catholic Bible we use today

No Protestant pastor existed then.

No Reformation existed then.

No โ€œBible aloneโ€ belief existed then.

The canon is a Catholic product.

๐Ÿ“– The Bible Cannot Exist Without the Church, Tradition, and the Magisterium.

The Bible did NOT fall from heaven.

The Bible did NOT write itself.

The Bible did NOT choose its own books.

The Bible did NOT preserve its own manuscripts.

Every Christian who holds a Bible today โ€” Protestant or Catholic โ€”

is holding a book created, preserved, and canonized by the Catholic Church.

So when someone says:

๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œBible alone!โ€

You can boldly respond:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Without the Church, the Bible would NOT exist.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Without Tradition, the authorship of Scripture is UNKNOWN.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Without the Magisterium, the canon could NEVER be decided.

The Church came first.

Scripture came from the Church.

Truth comes from Scripture + Tradition + Magisterium โ€” together.
