Prayer for Peace and an End to War

Almighty and Eternal God,

You are our refuge and the source of all peace. Through Christ Your Son, who taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, we humbly beseech You:

Look down in mercy on all nations torn by conflict. Protect the innocent victims of war, comfort the grieving, and strengthen those who work for justice and reconciliation. Touch the hearts of leaders and peoples alike, that they may choose dialogue over division, compassion over confrontation, and peace over violence.

Grant us the grace to be instruments of Your peace in our homes, our communities, and our world. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Francis of Assisi, and all the saints who have worked for peace, we make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
