The 7 deadly sins:
1. Lust
Intense or unrestrained craving for physical pleasure, often at the expense of reason, morality, or the well-being of oneself or others. It focuses excessively on sensual desires rather than meaningful connection.
2. Gluttony
Overindulgence and waste of food, drink, or other resources beyond what is necessary for health or moderation. It can also extend to excessive consumption of entertainment, wealth, or experiences.
3. Greed
An insatiable desire for material wealth, power, or possessions, prioritizing accumulation over fairness, generosity, or the needs of others. It involves an obsession with gaining more regardless of cost.
4. Sloth
Avoidance of physical or spiritual work, responsibility, or effort. It includes both laziness in completing tasks and neglect of personal growth, relationships, or moral duties.
5. Wrath
Uncontrolled anger, rage, or hatred toward others, often leading to harmful words, actions, or a desire for revenge. It distorts judgment and can cause significant damage to relationships and oneself.
6. Envy
Resentment or bitterness toward the achievements, possessions, or qualities of others. It focuses on what others have rather than appreciating one’s own blessings, often leading to ill will.
7. Pride
Excessive belief in one’s own abilities, status, or worth, leading to arrogance, disregard for others, and a refusal to acknowledge mistakes or higher powers. It is considered the root of many other sins.
