Mount Carmel Retreat Centre, Thiruvananthapuram

MOUNT CARMEL RETREAT CENTRE: This is the official retreat centre of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum in the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, which is situated at Vettinadu, Trivandrum in a beautiful hilly place. Here exists a peaceful atmosphere, which helps the one to have meditation and retreat without any distraction. At present there is full day retreat programme on every Saturdays. Rev. Fr. Daniel Poovannathil, Director of the retreat centre leads the prayers and preaches in the retreat.

Foundation stone for the Retreat Centre was laid by His Beatitude Baselios Cardinal Cleemis on 1st April 2017. The first phase of the retreat centre was blessed and inaugurated on 8 April 2018.

  1. I’m 43 years and undergoing ayurvedic treatment for sciatica. My sciatica has been cured but now I’m unable to stand or walk. Something went wrong with my right leg, due to which I can’t stand or walk. Father please uphold me in your prayers for a speedy recovery.
