The holidays are usually to spend with family and loved ones. You sit around the table eating delicious food, having good conversations and laughing at dad jokes. Everyone is smiling, thereโs music playing in the background and the whole house smells like literal holidays. This is probably my favorite time of the year. Not because of the food or gifts or smells ( though all those things add a nice touch;) ) but because of my family.
When I first moved away for a year I didnโt even realize it was going to be my first holiday season without them. It was hard let me tell you. Now that my second year is hereโฆ. nothing has changedโฆ. its still so hard. Though itโs still hard Iโve been able to find joy during this tough season of missing home.
