Prayer to Saint Joseph the Worker

O glorious Saint Joseph,

model of all who are devoted to labor,

obtain for me the grace to work faithfully

with a spirit of humility and patience.

You who were chosen to be the guardian of Jesus

and the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary,

teach me to honor God in all that I do

and to offer my daily work as a sacrifice of love.

Help me to carry out my duties with diligence,

to persevere in times of difficulty,

and to remain honest and just in all my actions.

Protect me from discouragement and pride,

and guide me to seek not my own glory,

but the glory of God alone.

O Saint Joseph,

bless the work of my hands,

provide for my needs and those of my family,

and intercede for all who are unemployed or struggling.

Teach me to trust in God’s providence,

to live in simplicity,

and to find peace in doing His will.

Saint Joseph the Worker,

pray for me,

that through my labor

I may grow in holiness

and one day share in the eternal rest of heaven.
