Satan hates the Brown Scapular

You will understand why the devil works against those who promote the scapular when you hear the story of Venerable Francis Yepes. One day, his scapular fell off. As he replaced it, the devil howled, take off the habit which snatches so many souls from us.

Then and there Francis made the devil admit that there are three things which the demons are most afraid of. The holy name of Jesus, the holy name of Mary, and the holy scapular of Carmel. To that list, we could add the holy rosary.

This and other stories echo what various exorcists have experienced. Exorcist Father Chad Rippager said about the brown scapular. Demons particularly hate the brown scapular, seeking during expulsions to rip it off the victim.

The scapular is very important because it provides a level of protection. In one case of possession that I had, the demon was a demon of impurity, and every time he would manifest, the first thing he would do is try to get the scapular the woman was wearing off. Another exorcist, Father Robert Leavis said, In an exorcism, the brown scapular is placed around the possessed person’s neck.

The devil invariably shouts and groans, It is fire. It is fire. Remove it, I beg of you.

I cannot bear it any longer. Archdiocese of Manila head exorcist Father Jose Siqueira. In an exorcism, the devil confessed in pain that the rosary is the most outstanding of prayers, much feared in hell, as is the scapular.

And another exorcist priest who wants to remain anonymous was wearing the brown scapular in the middle of an exorcism, and the devil spoke to him and said, Just take off that scapular, and I will show you what I will do to you. Consequently, when the wearing of a brown scapular leads a person to develop a habit of faith, it becomes a strong defense against Satan, as it draws a person closer to the Virgin Mary, whom the devil vehemently abhors. As Our Lady of Mount Carmel once said, Receive, my beloved son, this scapular of thy order.

It is the special sign of my favor, which I have obtained for thee and for thy children of Mount Carmel. He who dies clothed with this habit shall be preserved from eternal fire. It is the badge of salvation, a shield in time of danger, and a pledge of special peace and protection.

Do you wear brown scapular?
