ഒരു പ്രാചീന പ്രയോഗമനുസരിച്ച് അപ്പവും വീഞ്ഞും കൃതജ്ഞതാ സ്തോത്രം ചെയപ്പെട്ടത് അകയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ ഭക്ഷണത്തെ ദിവ്യകാരുണ്യം എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങൾ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് സത്യമാണെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും പാപ പൊറുതിക്കും പുതു ജനനത്തിനുംവേണ്ടി മാമ്മോദീസ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ക്രിസ്തു പഠിപ്പിച്ചവ അനുസരിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാത്ത ഒരുവനും അതിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.
