โ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐ง๐ข!โโ The Soul That Recognizes Christ
In the quiet of the early morning, while the world was still wrapped in silence, a sorrowful soul lingered near the tomb. Mary Magdalene remained there, not out of curiosity, but out of love. She had followed her Lord unto Calvary, had witnessed His suffering, and now she came seeking Himโeven in death.
But the tomb was empty.
Her heart, already wounded, was now pierced with deeper confusion. She weptโnot knowing that the very One she sought stood near her.
Such is often the condition of the human soul.
How many times do we seek God, yet fail to recognize Him when He is closest? How often do we look for Him in extraordinary signs, while He stands quietly beside us?
Jesus Christ appeared to her, yet she knew Him not. Her eyes were veiledโnot because He was absent, but because her understanding had not yet been enlightened.
Then came the moment of grace.
โMary.โ
One word. One call. One voice.
And everything changed.
In that instant, her sorrow was transformed into joy, her blindness into recognition, her grief into love. She turned and cried out:
โRabboni!โ โ Master.
This is the mystery of the Resurrection in the soul:
Christ is not recognized by the eyes alone, but by the heart awakened through grace.
He calls each soul personally.
Not in thunder. Not in spectacle. But in a voice that speaks withinโthe voice of truth, of mercy, of love.
And yet, how often do we fail to hear Him?
We are distracted by the noise of the world, attached to earthly things, or burdened by sin. We weep as though He were absent, when in truth, He stands nearโwaiting for us to turn.
Mary Magdalene teaches us three profound truths:
To seek Christ with perseverance, even in darkness
To recognize Him through grace, not merely through sight
To respond immediately with love and devotion
After recognizing Him, she did not remain in silence. She became an apostle to the apostlesโrunning to proclaim:
โI have seen the Lord.โ
So must we.
The Resurrection is not only something to believeโit is something to encounter. And once we have encountered Christ, we are called to bear witness to Him in our lives.
