Day 4 – Mother of Vocations

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father,

With grateful hearts we praise and thank You for the gift of Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Through her loving intercession, You continue to guide Your Church and care for Your people. As we continue this novena, fill us with a deeper love for Christ and His Church.

Grant us the grace to recognize Your voice in our lives and the courage to follow wherever You lead. Through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, help us to respond generously to Your call and faithfully serve You each day.

Meditation

Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

You are the Mother of the Church and the model of perfect discipleship. When God called you to a unique mission, you responded with complete trust and humble obedience: “Let it be done to me according to your word.” Through your faithful “yes,” the Savior entered the world and brought salvation to all humanity.

Your Son established His Church so that His saving love might reach every generation. Today, the Church continues her mission through priests, religious sisters, brothers, missionaries, and countless faithful servants who dedicate their lives to proclaiming the Gospel.

Yet the harvest is abundant and the laborers are few. The Church needs generous men and women who will answer God’s call with courage and joy. As our loving Mother, you continually intercede for vocations and encourage hearts to follow Christ more closely.

Prayer for Vocations

Mother of Perpetual Help,

Today we especially entrust to you all those whom God is calling to the priesthood, religious life, missionary service, and other forms of dedicated ministry within the Church.

Open their hearts to hear the voice of Jesus clearly. Give them the courage to overcome fear, the wisdom to discern God’s will, and the generosity to respond with wholehearted love.

Bless seminarians, novices, priests, religious brothers and sisters, missionaries, and all who have dedicated their lives to serving God’s people. Strengthen them in their vocation and make them faithful witnesses of Christ’s love.

Prayer of Petition

Loving Mother,

Take all our needs before the throne of your Son. We especially ask today that all whom God calls to priestly and religious vocations may respond generously and persevere faithfully in their calling.

Pray also for each of us, that we may recognize God’s purpose for our lives and eagerly answer His call, whatever it may be. Help us to serve Him with humility, dedication, and joy. May we seek not our own will, but His, in all things.

Teach us to imitate your trust, obedience, and readiness to serve. May our lives become a living response to God’s love.

O Mary, Mother of Perpetual Help,

You listened attentively to God’s call and responded with perfect faith. Help us to do the same. Inspire many generous hearts to dedicate their lives to the service of Christ and His Church.

Protect all priests, religious, and missionaries. Strengthen them in times of difficulty and renew their zeal for the Gospel. May their witness inspire others to follow Christ with courage and love.

Guide each of us to discover and fulfill the vocation God has prepared for us. Through your maternal intercession, may we serve Him faithfully in this life and rejoice forever in His presence in heaven.
