NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

MARY — A MOTHER WHO WALKS WITH US

As we approach the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate not only the birth of a holy woman but the gift of a spiritual mother.

Mary knew joy and sorrow, hope and uncertainty, Bethlehem and Calvary. She understands the journey of the human heart.

When we are joyful, she rejoices with us. When we are wounded, she stands beside us. When we are uncertain, she teaches us to trust. When we struggle to say “yes” to God, she reminds us of her own “Fiat.”

PRAYER:

Blessed Mother Mary,

walk with us and with our families.
Lead us closer to your Son, Jesus.
May your faith become our faith,
your humility our humility, and
your “yes” to God our daily
prayer. Amen.
