Day 5 – Mother of the Redeemer and Patroness of the Redemptorists

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We praise and thank You for the loving gift of Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Through her maternal care and powerful intercession, countless souls have found refuge, hope, and strength throughout the centuries.

As we continue this novena, deepen our love for Your Son and for His Church. Help us to grow in holiness and fidelity, and through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, guide us ever closer to the Heart of Jesus.

Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

You have always shown special care for the Church and for all who dedicate their lives to the service of the Gospel. Through your beloved icon, you have inspired faith and devotion in countless hearts across the world.

In a special way, the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer—the Redemptorists—has been entrusted with spreading devotion to you. Faithful to the mission given to them by the Church, they have carried your image to many nations and proclaimed your message of hope, mercy, and redemption.

As Mother of the Redeemer, you continue to guide and protect all those who labor for the salvation of souls. Through your intercession, may the Redemptorists and all who serve the Church remain faithful to Christ and fervent in their mission.

Prayer for the Redemptorists

Loving Mother of Perpetual Help,

Today we especially pray for all members of the Redemptorist Congregation—priests, brothers, seminarians, missionaries, and all who share in their ministry.

Bless them with wisdom, holiness, and zeal for the Gospel. Strengthen them in their vocation and sustain them in times of difficulty. May they always be faithful witnesses of God’s abundant mercy and tireless servants of His people.

Grant that their ministry may bear abundant fruit, bringing many souls closer to Jesus Christ and inspiring future generations to dedicate their lives to the service of the Church.

Prayer of Petition

Mother of Perpetual Help,

Take all our needs and intentions before the throne of your Son. We especially ask today that all members of the Redemptorist family may grow in holiness and faithfully fulfill the mission entrusted to them.

Pray also for us, that we may grow each day in devotion, faith, and love. Help us to recognize God’s call in our lives and to respond generously with trust and courage. May we seek His will above all things and strive to serve Him faithfully in every circumstance.

Teach us to live as true disciples of Christ, always seeking to bring His love and mercy to others.

Help us also to grow in holiness and devotion. May our lives reflect the mercy and compassion of your Son, and may we faithfully answer His call each day.

Through your powerful intercession, obtain for us the grace to persevere in faith and one day share with you the joy of eternal life in heaven.
