Day 6 – Mother of Courage and Faithfulness

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We thank and praise You for the gift of Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, who continually intercedes for us with a mother’s love. Through her care and protection, You strengthen us on our journey of faith and guide us toward Your Son, Jesus Christ.

As we continue this novena, grant us the grace to remain steadfast in our faith amid the challenges of daily life. Through Mary’s prayers, fill our hearts with courage, perseverance, and a deep desire to follow You faithfully in all things.

Meditation

Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

You know the struggles and difficulties we face as disciples of Jesus in today’s world. Often we encounter temptations, disappointments, doubts, and pressures that challenge our commitment to the Gospel. At times, it can be difficult to remain faithful to Christ and to live according to His teachings.

Yet you, dear Mother, are a shining example of unwavering faith and courage. Even in moments of uncertainty and suffering, you trusted completely in God’s plan. You stood faithfully beside your Son throughout His earthly life and remained steadfast beneath the Cross when others abandoned Him.

Because you understand our struggles, you are always ready to strengthen us with your maternal help. You encourage us not to be afraid but to place our trust in God’s mercy and love.

Prayer for Courage

Mother of Perpetual Help,

Today we ask for the courage we need to live as faithful followers of Christ.

When our faith is tested, strengthen us. When we are tempted to compromise our values, give us wisdom and fortitude. When we grow weary or discouraged, renew our hope and remind us of God’s unfailing presence.

Help us to stand firm in our beliefs, to witness boldly to the Gospel, and to remain faithful even when doing so requires sacrifice. May we never be ashamed of our faith but strive always to live as authentic disciples of Jesus.

Prayer of Petition

Loving Mother,

Take all our needs and intentions before the throne of your Son. We especially ask today for the grace to grow in the courage necessary for holiness.

Pray that we may make growth in virtue and holiness the greatest priority of our lives. Help us to cultivate faith, hope, charity, patience, humility, and perseverance. May we always seek to serve Jesus worthily, regardless of the challenges or sacrifices that may come our way.

Teach us to trust in God’s providence and to rely upon His grace in every circumstance.

Help us to grow in holiness each day and to serve your Son faithfully, no matter the cost. Through your powerful intercession, may we persevere in faith until we reach the joy of eternal life.
