ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ വേറൊരു നാമമില്ലല്ലോ

യേശു നാമമല്ലാതെ, യേശു നാമമല്ലാതെ.

മാനവരക്ഷയ്‌ക്കൂഴിയിൽ വേറൊരു നാമമില്ലല്ലോ

യേശു നാമമല്ലാതെ, യേശു നാമമല്ലാതെ.

ഇന്നത്തെ സുവിശേഷ ഭാഗത്ത് നാം കണ്ടുമുട്ടുന്ന അന്ധന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നുയർന്ന “ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ഈശോയേ എന്നിൽ കനിയണമേ” എന്ന കരച്ചിൽ, എന്നെ ഓർമിപ്പിച്ചത് 1980 കളിൽ ധ്യാനകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലും, പ്രാർത്ഥനാസമ്മേളനങ്ങളിലും ഉയർന്നുകേട്ട ഈ ഈരടികളാണ്. പെന്തക്കുസ്താനാളിൽ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ സ്വീകരിച്ചശേഷം “ഈശോ കർത്താവാണ്” എന്ന് പ്രസംഗിച്ചതിന്റെ പേരിൽ അറസ്റ്റുചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട പത്രോസും യോഹന്നാനും സംഘത്തിന്റെ മുൻപിൽ നിർത്തപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ നിറഞ്ഞ് പത്രോസ് പറഞ്ഞ “ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴെ മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നമുക്ക് രക്ഷയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി മറ്റൊരു നാമവും നല്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല” (അപ്പ 4, 12) എന്ന ദൈവ വചനത്തിന്റെ ഗാനാവിഷ്കാരമാണിത്. ഈശോ എന്ന നാമത്തിന്റെ മനോഹാരിതയും, ശക്തിയും ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുന്ന ഈ അത്ഭുത വചനം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തന്ന ദൈവത്തിന് എന്തുമാത്രം സ്തുതികളർപ്പിച്ചാലും മതിയാവില്ല. അതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ “ഈശോയേ” എന്ന് ഹൃദയം തകർന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്ന അന്ധൻ, വാണിജ്യ സിനിമകൾക്ക് “ഈശോ” എന്ന പേരിട്ട് ഈശോയെ അവഹേളിക്കുന്ന ഇന്നത്തെ ലാഭക്കൊതിയന്മാരായ സിനിമാ സംവിധായകർക്ക് ഒരു വെല്ലുവിളിയായിട്ടും എനിക്ക് തോന്നി.

തീർച്ചയായും, ഈശോ എന്ന നാമത്തെ അവഹേളിക്കുന്ന ആർക്കും ഇന്നത്തെ സുവിശേഷ ഭാഗവും, സുവിശേഷത്തിലെ അന്ധനും വെല്ലുവിളി തന്നെയാണ്. ലോകം എത്രമാത്രം ഈശോ എന്ന നാമത്തെ അവഹേളിക്കുന്നുവോ അതിലും പതിന്മടങ്ങ് ശക്തമായി ഈ അന്ധനെപ്പോലുള്ളവർ, ക്രൈസ്തവർ മുഴുവനും ഈശോയെ വിളിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കും, ഈശോ എന്ന നാമത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നതിന്…
