Inauguration of Navathi Celebrations || St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary; Mangalapuzha
Dear Friends, It is a great pleasure and privilege for the Staff, Students, and the Alumni of St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Mangalapuzha to inform you that the seminary is entering into its Navathi. With a humble beginning in the year 1682 at Verapoly, the seminary started creating a long and marvelous history of 340 years of priestly formation at different phases and places, from Verapoly and then shifting to Puthenpally until it was planted at Mangalapuzha in the year 1932. Though the seminary began to function at Mangalapuzha in June 1932, the official inauguration of the seminary at Mangalapuzha was held on the 28th of January 1933. Thus, on 28th January 2023 the seminary will complete the ninetieth year of its splendid and privileged existence at Mangalapuzha proclaiming its legacy in various spheres of the life of the Church and society. With a Concelebrated Holy Qurbana on the 16th of February 2022 and with an official inaugural function on the 19th of February 2022, the seminary is entering into year-long Navathi celebrations.
